Welcome to
Book Club
Our history
As a culture, too much time is spent being entertained with the advances in technology; much time is invested in social media. There will continue to be more interest and value placed on children learning with technology. However, the pace and priorities of our culture often distract us from what should matter significantly more than work or technology: people. Being present with other people in conversation is something everyone needs to experience often. The pace and the necessity to learn within our culture will only increase, yet we need to improve how we value each other. With increasing value given to each individual’s thinking, the quality of conversation produced from a Book Club can increase community.
- A thriving learning community begins through conversation giving value to unique approaches to literature. Finding purpose within a book club is a necessity to be grasped by the individuals involved and finding a purpose within reading and discussion can be inspiring.
- Book Club is part of English Book Education and has been running since 2019. Overall the Book Club has reached and inspired thousands of students across Georgia and delivered over 70 000 graded literature to the readers.
Our Readers
We are proud of our readers. They inspire us and motivate us to do more every time we plan or create a new lesson.
In surveys and based on teachers report our readers are enthusiastic learners who are socially and academically ready for the years ahead.
The passion that brings us all together is the love of adventure, reading, learning and exploring.
Our community
Our pupils come from all over Georgia, creating a close-knit environment and strong parent partnerships.
We use fun, research-based, multi-sensory strategies to help children develop learning skills, including discussions, presentations, writing and speaking.
We use Online Responsive Classroom as the basis for our social and emotional learning curriculum throughout the Book Club.
