Attendance Policy

Absences

It is the coordinator’s responsibility to report each and every absence. We notify each parent with an sms or a call that the child is absent from the class.

In order to obtain the best possible education, it is important that students attend class on a daily basis and arrive on time. Regular online classroom participation is necessary to achieve the best possible learning situation for every student.

A student who is absent from Book Club more than 2 lessons in a month and whose absence has materially affected academic progress, may be considered as academically absent in full.

Excused Absences

  • Illness
  • Medical appointments or treatments
  • Religious holidays
  • Personal or family emergency

Unexcused Absences

  • Family vacations.
  • Non-Medical appointments.
  • Babysitting.
  • Absence for any other reason that does not meet the criteria of an excused absence.
  • A student who is absent from the Book Club without notice.
